Hello to everyone and sorry for being 'absent' for so long!
If I had thought that RL was a bitch before, I was wrong. It got much worse! Won't bore anyone with an extremely long and, at times, complicated explanation. Suffice to say, that having held two separate posts with the same employer, on-going ill-health forced me into accepting redeployment for one of the posts. Without a replacement position it would have meant not being able to pay my mortgage and losing my home and,.. Well, I did say I didn't want to bore anyone! - As things now stand, having gained a short extension to the initial redeployment period, it was on the very last day that I was interviewed for, and succeeded in gaining, a suitable new post. It's only for a 1year period, so not a permanent solution, but it's eased the pressure. The health problem hasn't been totally solved and there are still on-going issues but I've managed, mostly, to find ways to adapt to them.
Which, all in all, is the reason why I've not been in a fit state to get anything new posted these last fews months but, on the flip side, is why I'm now back to a stage where I feel that I CAN, at last, continue with my writing.
Therefore, please let me assure anyone that has read the first four chapters of STAYING FOR THE WEEKEND and is/was interested in reading it to completion that this fic has NOT been abandoned! - I'll be re-reading and, maybe re-working, the first four chapters and will then be getting down to it's continuation.
To everyone that was/is still interested in this fic, please accept my thanks for your out-standing patience!
